A Very Brief History of Web Publishing (via makeuseof)

Ah, the dilemma of a writing teacher.  I’ve actually been thinking about this as of late, and I’ve often worried if my Tweeting has affected my ability — or more importantly, my desire — to write.  I know I’ve been blogging less and less since I started using Twitter, so there’s definitely some truth to this…  Hmm. How to remedy this…

National Coming Out Day: October 11, 2009

Conversations From the Heart

Whether you’re lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or not, be proud of who you are and your support for LGBT equality this National Coming Out Day.

Watch HRC’s Conversations From the Heart videos, donate your Facebook status and pledge to have conversations from the heart with your friends and family for equality. A simple conversation can change the lives of people you care about.

In this video, a teacher and a daughter of a gay father take part in “Conversations from the Heart” — a project of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for National Coming Out Day 2009.
